The home was filled with bugs, black mold in the bathroom, a stained seat in the living room, the fridge door did not close all the way (causing leaking), and a broken step at the back door. I saw multiple bugs daily and the home was simply not clean (nasty baseboards, dirt and dog hair under the beds). The co-host, Hunter, was responsive and eager to send the cleaning and maintenance team to address these issues, but they were never fully addressed. My guest and I were disappointed the home was not prepped for us and quite stressed due to the amount of bugs (ants, spiders, roaches, other insects, crawling on us, our belongings, and all throughout the house). The home is gorgeous and deserves much more respect than it is getting. This listing has a lot of potential, but requires much more love and care.

If you love the vintage/grandma core trend, then this place is for you! Would make a great rental for a girls' weekend! If you aren't into vintage/older historical-type homes, then this may not be your jam. I, personally, loved it. My college-aged daughter loved it. It reminded us of staying at Grandma's house. It was clean, but it's also an older home, so not everything is going to look fresh, new, and modern. The beds were comfortable! Good water pressure!For the type of house, age, and location, I would book it again. We also loved that it was pet-friendly and had a fenced-in area for our dog. When we arrived, we noticed that the fridge seal was not working properly and the fence was not shutting properly. The host was quick to respond and had maintenance out within minutes to address the issue. Some pros and cons for those who like specific details before you rent: Pros: cute, fenced area for pets, quick response time from host & maintenance. Cons: no blackout curtains in bedrooms
